Emotion interface

Alex Smith
Hi everyone,

We want to use the emotion interface to only move the eyelids, without lighting up the eyebrows and mouth.

Is there a signal we can send to the interface to turn off the lights once they are illuminated? At the moment the only way we can manage it is to turn the pc104 off and on again.

Regards,
Alex

Hi,

I haven't tested it, but I think you can do it as follows:
yarp write ... /icub/face/raw/in
Z

More information about low level controls can be found here: http://www.im-clever.eu/resources/hardware/hardware/icubinstructionsV1.2.pdf
In this guide you can also see how to only disable e.g. the left eyebrow etc.

Best, Tobias
PS: It's probably best to ask these questions on the appropriate Github repo, e.g. https://github.com/robotology/icub-main/issues
